Join the Plymouth Triathlon Club
The club offers coached sessions that span the three triathlon disciplines but also adds other activities during different stages of the season such as useful workshops and talks with professionals in different areas, yoga sessions, training days...
The club currently has 4 coaches and the support of high level triathlon coaches through the year. These are some of the training sessions and activities we offer:
- Running sessions at Central Park
- Triathlon workshops
- Ashtanga yoga
- Swimming technique at Central Park swimming pool
- Open water swimming (Summer)
- Turbo trainer sessions
- Training periodisation, events planification and nutrition advice
- Further sessions and especial training days
- Receive the monthly e-mail newsletter
- Access to the private section of our forum where we'll be announcing activities and information exclusively for members.
- ... and other informally training sessions and events with fellow members (cycling weekends, running, time trials)
If you want to try a training session before joining, come along on Wednesday at 7pm to Central Park and introduce yourself to one of the members before the session starts. She/he should be able to answer any questions you may have, along with one of the committee members who will be there. You can try free for two sessions to help you decide join or not. However, if you attend to the swimming session you will need to pay £5 for public access to the pool. Members pay only £1 for these swimming sessions and the other activities are included in the annual fee.
Also, if you are going to compete throughout the triathlon season, you may also want to consider joining Triathlon England. The insurance is worth the joining fee alone! Club members get a £11 discount when affiliating to BTF.
