Youths section

British Triathlon defines youths all athletes under the age of 18. The official definition of the age groups and the maximum distances they are allowed to compete are:

Club youths training sessions


The youth training sessions take place every Monday from 7 to 8pm at the Plymouth Mountbatten Centre. All sessions are run by BTA affiliated coaches that are affiliated to the club.For further information relating to the junior and youth section of the Club, please contact the Juniors Coordinator.

Plymouth Tri Club members free, non-members £2. If you want to become a member in one of the biggest triathlon teams in the South West, contact the Club Secretary for more information.

Juniors are welcome to train with the seniors during their sessions and don't forget that youths have their own area in the forum where they can discuss anything relevant to them.

Corus Kids of Steel

This is a series of events for our younder athletes to turn up and give it a go. You don't need any experience, or have entered a race before - all you have to do is turn up and enjoy. You can do this on your own, part of a school or come out with your friends. All you have to do is have fun.
