Event regulations

  • All entrants must be over the age of 17 years of age.
  • The event is limited to 200 participants
  • By entering the event you agree to abide by these conditions of entry and any race instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the Plymouth Standard Triathlon.
  • Any other regulations will be following BTF rules for a standard distance event.
  • All the competitors with BTF license will have to provide a proof at the moment of the registration or they will be charged £2 on registration for a BTF day licence.
  • All those competitors entered as student will have to prove it on registration or they will have to pay the rest of the full fee to take part in the event.
  • You must not be escorted or paced by anyone on foot or cycle.
  • You are not permitted to enter with any animal with the exception of guide dogs; arrangements for guide dogs must be made with the organisers in advance of the event.
  • For security reasons, only participants are allowed to enter to the transition area and this will be enforced by race officials.
  • We reserve the right to change fees, alter programme details, prizes and prize structures and any aspect of the event management organisations.
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entrant's attendance at or participation in the event or any future event.
  • Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification and barring from future Plymouth Triathlon Club events. Details of what is considered inappropriate behaviour can be found in the British Triathlon Federation rules.
  • We aim to organise a safe and enjoyable event and hope that you will help us in achieving this. Any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions may be excluded from future events.

Appeals Procedure

  • An appeal is a request for a review of a decision made by a referee.
  • We hope that this procedure will not be used, but, in the event that you wish to make an appeal the Appeals Chairman must receive it within 1 hour of the penalty being posted with a fee of £15 that is refunded if the appeal is upheld.
  • This procedure is in accordance with BTF rules

Cancellation / transfer

  • Plymouth Triathlon Club operates a no refund and no carry forward policy once you have entered the event.
  • We regret that once entry applications have been processed we cannot refund any entry fee if you do not eventually take part, nor can we carry forward your entry to the following year's event.
  • However, it will be possible to transfer your race entry to another competitor up to the closure entries date for an admin fee of £10. Send a a cheque payable to Plymouth Triathlon Club and the details of the transfer and it will be arranged as soon as possible.
